A 'WARSHIP' RETURNS TO THE SOUTHERN: Part 1 - here we see the magnificent display from Class 42 'Warship' D832 Onslaught as she returned to the Southern Region for the first time in many years during the Swanage Railway's epic 2016 Diesel Gala. Fondly remembered for their stint on the Waterloo route from 1965 to 1971, and on the Plymouth to Exeter via Okehampton, as well as Barnstaple and Ilfracombe lines. But when was the last time a 'Warship' was heard on the Southern?? - the last time I can think of is March 2001, when sister D821 visited the Bodmin & Wenford and reached Boscarne Junction - technically 'Southern' territory - but over to you! Anyway, enjoy the Maybach MD650s roaring through the Purbeck Hills! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGuF2pTx9fc
A WARSHIP RETURNS TO THE SOUTHERN: Part 2 - continuing on from my previous compilation, we see D832 Onslaught working on the Swanage Branch during the epic 2016 Swanage Diesel Gala, believed to be the first 'Warship' to have ever visited Swanage. Also included is a sequence of her working on the restricted Wareham Junction to Norden section too. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1bzLEYeQ5o
