30190 / 190 Lyd
A footplate ride on a combination that has not been possible since 1935! Double-heading with SR Forney 2-4-2T Yankee Tank 762 Lyn, we enjoy a footplate ride on SR Manning Wardle 2-6-2T 190 Lyd as they climb the 1 in 50 gradient from Killington Lane to Woody Bay on 1st October 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emyf6qiGsfY
In one of my favourite narrow gauge locomotives, we take a ride on the footplate of SR Manning Wardle 2-6-2T 190 Lyd as we head up the 1 in 50 gradient from Killington Lane to Woody Bay on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in North Devon. Hopefully one day we will enjoy Lyd on a return visit and journey all the way to Lynton! www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oVCMu1c_qs
A footplate ride in Lynton & Barnstaple / Southern Railway Manning Wardle 2-6-2T 30190 Lyd through the magnificent Aberglaslyn Pass on the Welsh Highland Railway on 10th February 2011. The Aberglaslyn Pass comprises of four tunnels between Beddgelert and the Pass, starting with Goat Tunnel, and this was filmed when Lyd wore the attractive pseudo BR lined Black livery that she carried when she was first built. With much thanks to Paul Lewin for allowing the filming to take place! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPXtUaT7uG4
