Festiniog Railway
All the action from the Festiniog Railway's Victorian Weekend on 6th October 2017 including FR Double Fairlie
0-4-4-0Ts Merddin Emrys, David Lloyd George and Earl of Merioneth, FR Single Fairlie 0-4-4T Taliesin and FR George England 0-4-0STs No. 2 Prince & No. 4 Palmerston. Ironically, out of the six locomotives in use, three are new builds, having been built in the last 40 years, with Earl of Merioneth, David Lloyd George and Taliesin being built in 1979, 1992 & 1999 respectively, a wonderful testament to modern preservation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm184x0ylrE

Sadly soon to be permantently withdrawn and mothballed as a 'kit of parts,' we see 1979 built FR Double Fairlie
0-4-4-0T Earl of Merioneth as she works over the Festiniog Railway between Porthmadog Harbour and Blaenau Ffestiniog. She will always be, in my opinion, a Double-Fairlie GTi - but her stark 1979 lines are still in sharp contrast to her 1879 Boston Lodge siblings! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTHeBoDA2zQ
