Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway
Nick-named 'Vlad' by the Welshpool & Llanfair, we see the line's very own 'Transylvania devil' in the form of 764-425
hard at work on the line in 2008. WLLR 0-8-0T 764-425 was built at Resita in Romanian in 1954 and worked at Telega between 1962 and 1970, and latterly FC Turda in Romania. This formidable eight coupled 0-8-0 tank is therefore an ideal engine to tackle the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway's testing gradients, including the 1 in 29 Golfa Bank, and we see 764-425 (now WLLR No. 19) at work on the Welshpool & Llanfair, including working over Golfa Bank, on 27th August 2008. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5aQwpKIuEY
