Class 47s
47580 County of Essex
A pure delight to see a Brush Type 4 or Class 47 back in the west! Back in the day, Stratford allocated County of Essex, complete with Stratford trademark white / silver roof would have caused a bit of a stir this far west! Anyhow, replacing 46233 Duchess of Sutherland at Plymouth due to the 'Duchess' being too tight to go on St Blazey Turntable, 47580 County of Essex headed the Plymouth - Par section of the 'Royal Duchy' tour which we see passing through Keyham. Later, she storms Hemerdon, having returned to Plymouth, running as the 0Z39 1910 Plymouth - Bristol TM LE move. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGav7JlkQbM

The highlight of the recent Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway Winter Diesel Gala was Class 47/4 47643 in the popular Scotrail - Intercity livery. We see the popular ex-works Scottish 'Duff,' complete with Highland branding on 29th December 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_CyV5qB5Ww

How many times has a Class 47 departed Plymouth on Mk 2 stock and we never battered an eyelid! Lovely to see a Brush Type 4 back in the far west again! www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB5Td6hGVyI
