34053 Sir Keith Park
SR 'Battle of Britain' 7P5F 4-6-2 34053 Sir Keith Park is seen in action on the Swanage Railway during the highly successful 'Strictly Bulleid' steam gala that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the end of steam on the South Region. Normally based on the Severn Valley Railway, 34053 Sir Keith Park was built at Brighton Works in 1946 and was initially allocated to Salisbury, before being allocated to Stewarts Lane shed in London, where she worked the prestigious 'Golden Arrow.' In 1960, she was transferred to Bournemouth, where she worked the 'Pines Express' via the lamented Somerset & Dorset route over the Mendips, before being withdrawn in October 1966. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3wbUyZbmP0
